In the first part of the paper the concept of (+).regular factorization is generalized to the case of n factors.THEOREM 1. The factorization Θ=ΘnΘn−1...Θ1, is (+).regular where χ (Θk) is the Sz.-Nagy-Foias space. A criterion for the preservation of minimality under the synthesis of conservative scattering systems is obtained.
