Abstract

This work is concerned with random oscillations in viscoelastic nonlinear systems described by a stochastic integrodifferential equation. Under the assumption that there exists a slowly varying solution [I] and on the basis of the method of statistical linearization [3], the stochastic integrodifferential equation under consideration is approximated by an ordinary stochastic differential equation. To the latter one can apply the asymptotic methods of nonlinear mechanics and the known methods of statistical dynamics [2-4, 9].
