Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the concept of Metzler operators on Banach lattices and study how the spectrum of such an operator changes under a certain class ofunbounded structured perturbations. We characterize the stability radius of Metzler operators under these perturbations. The result is applied to derive a computable formula for the stability radius of positive delay systems
