The authors consider the problem of recovering the temperature on the surface of a heat conducting half-plane from temperature measurements on an interior line, given the initial temperature. The problem, which is ill-posed, is regularized by truncated integration and expansion in cardinal series. Error estimates and numerical results are given, and an illustrative figure is produced.
